Cut once! I was doing some putty work and Niko decided to help me out. He put those safety glasses and hard hat on himself.
Niko helped me tape off the trim.... well sort of. I actually finished all of the painting around Christmas time, but I never posted the photos.
We started decorating the walls for him now that the paint has had time to cure. The window coverings are up. We will be getting him some new furniture in the next month or so. He needs a sturdy dresser, a headboard and a chest of drawers for this room.
I have several photos/prints framed, but I don't want to hang them until we get the new furniture in and see what kinda wall space we have to work with. Then we will have to tackle how you actually MOVE a kid into the "big boy" room.
We had a LOT of fun in Do-Da's pool. Niko did really well swimming with Grandpa's noodle. He just floated and kicked his way around that pool like he owned it.
Looking good! This is what happens when you inherit your fashion from your older cousin Jenny. This is the EPIC tale of the VIP (Very Important Princess) hat.
Here we are on the boat lift. All is still well - we still have the hat.
On the water!
This is the last know photo of the VIP hat. Long story short, I wanted to show Niko-chan that the wave runners were fun when you went faster. He was enjoying himself until that hat blew off his head.
OMG. I had no idea this would be such a scaring event.
He didn't say anything, but he was very quiet on the ride home. I told him that SpongeBob found his hat in Bikini Bottom and that he would take care of it for him. That seemed to help for a while.... then it started.
"You lost my hat!" I must have heard that about a 5 dozen times while we were in Florida. Hopefully he's not scared for life and he will let me take him out on the wave runners next year.
Niko got a GIANT Patrick from Mark & Shelly for Christmas. If you know Niko, you know that he loves SpongeBob. Patrick is actually kinda like a stiff bean bag toy.
After a few failed attempts to use Patrick as a landing pillow (doesn't absorb the impact) Niko has decided he's a good seat.
And.... we have a Christmas injury. Yes... as Niko was SHOVELING candy canes into his mouth, one splintered out of his mouth as he chewed. Mind you, he did not stop eating the candy canes, he just kinda whimpered as he kept shoving more candy into his mouth. It was really hard to feel sorry for him as he was crying for hugs with a mouth full of candy cane.
