I love working with an awesome Parks & Recreation Department that does fun community things! You mail a letter to the "Elves at Vesper Hall" and participants in our 50+ Community Center write letters back to kids for Santa. So cool! :)

From back here you can't tell how nerdy my tree is. The tree has mommy ornaments on the top and Niko ornaments on the bottom. The globes are made of plastic so no worries there.

Santa! Niko didn't really know what do say to Santa - although he did tell him that he wanted Batman. Sweet.

I got to see a bunch of my old Kansas City Parks & Recreation friends at the event on Saturday. I miss them and it was great to see them again and catch up! :)

Movie Night

Monica and her kids came over for a movie night on Saturday. We watched Thor on the small TV....

While the bigger kids played Little Big Planet and Halo on the big TV.

Movie fun for everyone!


Then barber Monica gave Niko a hair cut... we should have done this earlier in the evening. He was pretty grumpy by the time we got around to cutting his hair.

Mark and Shelly came over for dinner tonight. Niko was a bit grumpy to start, then started jamming with the Dora music set they bought for him a while back.

Mustang fury

So I start to take down the much hated mustang border in our spare bedroom only to find yet ANOTHER border under it!!!

Look at that HORRIBLE 1980's border. Groan. It's even worse than the mustangs....

This stuff is nasty. Like taking WAY longer than I had hoped nasty. I have gone through one whole bottle of glue remover and I think I will need another bottle and a half to get the rest of if off. Yea. I am so glad it wasn't the whole wall!

This side of the wall is done. The previous owner painted up to the original border, then put the mustang border over top of the paint. What a mess.
