Eating by MYSELF

Ryker-kun has been insisting on feeding himself for the past month (much to my dismay.)  Daycare sent this picture to me today - he is actually getting pretty good at it now!   LOVES mashed potatoes.  :)

These are a bit old... here is Niko-chan doing what he does most evenings...  playing with LEGOs.

Bowling Fun!

Warning!  Crappy cell phone picts ahead!  :) This weekend we met up with a few new friends for a morning of bowling fun.  Yes... this is what bowling fun look like when the arcade is close to our lane.  The boys were more interested in running around the arcade than actual bowling.

Here they are 'dancing' on the game.  Note, no coins were used for this playsession.  Sweet.

Ryker pretty much hung out here all morning.  The game would light up and lure him back....

He has discovered he can climb on almost everything.... much to our dismay.  Here he is pushing buttons.

Niko working the lanes.... bumper bowling that is.

Niko had quite a bit of fun!  We will be back for sure.

Shark Attack!!

I FINALLY got a photo of Ryker-kun doing this!  He does this all the time, but I can never get to the camera fast enough.  He loves 'scaring' you with the shark.  He makes the shark growl at you and waits for you to shiver in fear at his fierce attack.  It is really adorable....

Chuck E Cheese Time!

Look at that happy baby!

Ryker had a blast in the toddler playground area.

Driving his buddy Stewart Little around.

Look how happy he is!

Niko riding the monster truck.

Both boys riding the roller coaster.

We went to a birthday party for one of Niko's friends over the weekend.  We love Chucky E Cheese!

Zoo Trip/Class Project

Both Neil and I had the day off on Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  It is pretty rare that Neil and I have the same day off any more so we decided to go to the Zoo!   It was a balmy 50 degrees here in KC - a rare treat for January.

Niko is playing with his brother.... kidding.

One of the big reasons we went to the Zoo was for Niko's class science project.  Each student is supposed to give a report on a specific animal.  Niko was assigned the Bengal Tiger.  (Geaux Tigers)

We took some photos of the tigers for his information board.

What a pretty cat!

On our way to Australia!

Cute Wallaby.

Look at all of these Kangaroos!

Then we fed goats.

We finally got around to the new penguin display at the Zoo.

Niko and Ryker checking out the penguins.

Ryker really liked the penguins.

Niko cheezing for the camera.

I like these two photos of the boys.

Then we rode on the Merry Go Round.

Niko wanted to ride on the Kangaroo since we just saw them.

Ryker liked the birds... they were chatting with him.

Niko wanted to climb the elephant since it reminded him of the statues at Penguin Park.

Nice Kitty

We have really been working hard on this one.... petting the kitty-cat nicely.  We haven't quite got it mastered, but we are much better at it!
