Zoo Trip/Class Project

Both Neil and I had the day off on Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  It is pretty rare that Neil and I have the same day off any more so we decided to go to the Zoo!   It was a balmy 50 degrees here in KC - a rare treat for January.

Niko is playing with his brother.... kidding.

One of the big reasons we went to the Zoo was for Niko's class science project.  Each student is supposed to give a report on a specific animal.  Niko was assigned the Bengal Tiger.  (Geaux Tigers)

We took some photos of the tigers for his information board.

What a pretty cat!

On our way to Australia!

Cute Wallaby.

Look at all of these Kangaroos!

Then we fed goats.

We finally got around to the new penguin display at the Zoo.

Niko and Ryker checking out the penguins.

Ryker really liked the penguins.

Niko cheezing for the camera.

I like these two photos of the boys.

Then we rode on the Merry Go Round.

Niko wanted to ride on the Kangaroo since we just saw them.

Ryker liked the birds... they were chatting with him.

Niko wanted to climb the elephant since it reminded him of the statues at Penguin Park.
