Pikachu goes to school

Someone must have wanted join Niko at school today. When I picked Niko up from school, I was surprised by the GIANT Pikachu above Niko's cube.... because it's he's not going to fit inside Niko's cube.

I must say... I love the fact Niko is into Pokemon. :) Gotta catch them all!

New phones

In case you couldn't tell, we have new phones and we LOVE them! So does Niko-chan. He likes seeing himself be filmed, then watching himself being a ham. Here he is on the ride home tonight.

Dinner out

Niko and I joined Shelly, Mark and Tracy at McCoy's Public House to celebrate Tracy's birthday last night.

We had a good time, but Niko kept wanting to sit at the bar... oh dear. He IS my son!!! Look how happy he is with Godfather Mark sitting on the bar stool.

Baking over the weekend

Baking some "Double Rainbow" cupcakes for Tracy's Birthday Drive-in Extravaganza! Niko cropped up with a fever the next day and couldn't go to the Drive-in with me. :(

Another print

Got back the last Becky Dreistadt print today from the frame shop. I had it floated on some shiny gold matting with a plain black frame. I love it! So colorful and fun.

Oh yea baby! We won GOLD! Can't wait to get my gold medal at the awards ceremony! The Eastern Jackson County Municipal Challenge has 8 different cities participating. I had a blast and can't wait for sand volleyball this weekend!

Niko's Garden Update

Niko's Garden is coming along pretty nicely. There are a few tomatoes on the plants and little buds on the pepper plants! :)

Civic engagement

Niko's first council meeting... that happened to be my Leadership Blue Springs Graduation. Look how excited he is to be there with the Mayor and Council. (Actually he is eating the Mike & Ikes I bribed him to stop talking during the meeting.)

Can't wait to end our first argument by moving the previous question on him. (Dumb government joke.)

Doing dishes

Yes... we are still cooking. A lot. Niko LOVES to cook and to specifically "crack the egg." So we must cook things that have eggs in them, namely deserts for Daddy.

But lately, he now wants to do the dishes too... not the fake ones in his play kitchen, but the real ones. I figure, AWESOME! If he wants to do them, more power to him! :)

Whew. I am getting so big that I am growing a moustache! (Chocolate flavored that is.)
