Laughing

I sneeze.... a lot. So the other day I sneezed and Niko started to laugh at it. Now it's a running gag.

Matrix, my favorite pet

I am very surprised how well Matrix and Niko get along.  Matrix is very gentle with him - even though Niko has jabbed him in the eye and pulls on his ears.  Matrix loves Niko - anyone who knows Matrix knows he likes to kiss.  Niko is an open target - no defense against the kiss.

Tangent just stays away from Niko - she wants nothing to do with him. 

Look at that stare - Niko wants to grab that tail.  This is the part I am worried about. Niko has yet to get ahold of Matrix's tail.  One of these days he's going to grab it though.... yikes.

Sitting and pushing up

Niko has been both of these things for a while, but with my old, slow digital camera - I haven't been able to get good photos of him doing it.  I borrowed a friend of mine's nice DSLR camera last night and what a difference!  

Niko has been doing push-ups for a long time, but he is getting the idea of moving his legs while he does the push-up.  Yikes.  Don't figure out crawling yet - we have to move first!

Niko can sit for about a minute or so.  He can lift his hands up over his head while he is sitting.  He did it last night and let out a screech then toppled over.  He got too excited about sitting up I guess!

Play time

Saturday we went to the play area at Zona Rosa.  It's pretty neat really - it's a jungle gym of sorts with foam animal all over it.  Niko was fascinated by the goldfish.  

Niko is sitting up on his own now.  He can do it for about a minute, then he slumps down or topples over.  The digital camera I'm using right now is old and slow so it's hard for me to catch a photo of him doing it.  I wish I had my big camera.....  I'm going to try and get a photo of him sitting over the next couple of days.

Oatmeal cereal

Tonight we tried oatmeal cereal for the first time. I think he was starting to get a bit bored with rice cereal. He's up to cereal almost 3 times a day now.

Fu Manchu

This is what happens when idiots breed.  I love fake mustaches.  At Aunt Shelly's Chinese New Year's party someone brought a fake Fu Manchu mustache - we enjoyed this WAY too much.
