Kitchen Time

So cute.... I caught Niko & Ryker playing together in the kitchen with the play kitchen.  :)

Flooches Gifts

The Flooches gave the boys stuffed animals for us watching their house while they were on vacation.  At first, Niko picked the octopus/squid, but then he changed his mind and wanted the shark.

Niko & Ryker's school just sent over these pictures of Ryker at Table Time.  Look at those legs!  I guess he likes sitting on this super-cute turtle rocker.  

Ms. Natalie tells me that he is really good at listening quietly and intently.  I must say... that didn't come from my side of the family.... we are not quiet people.

Movie Night!

 We hosted movie night over the weekend.  Ellie and Ty came to visit so naturally, it was parade time.

 Oh, hey there!

Ryker-kun loves playing with my phone.  I know you can't really see it, but his favorite thing to play with is the Fisher-Price Giggle Gang app.  It's kinda psychotic to list to.... it has a bunch of baby giggles pre-recorded so it sounds really odd out of context.

Dino-Sized Fun!

Ahhhh... the Fisher-Price Roll-a-Rounds Drop & Roar Dinosaur.  This was originally Niko's Dino that I bought off CraigsList.  It was one of Niko's faves and Ryker has figured out how it works.

 OMG!  That is awesome!

He giggles and laughs when the lights come on.

Dinner Time

 

 This past weekend, we went to eat at Bo Lings for Father's Day.  Niko got a pair of training chop sticks and he wants to use them to eat everything.  Here he is trying to eat Parmesan Chicken and Spaghetti.

We have started Ryker-kun on solid food, much to his delight.  Here he is eating some shredded chicken.

Lock up the cat food!

Over the last few weeks, Ryker has mastered crawling.  Well.... crawling with purpose that is.  If he sees something he wants, he is lightening quick and can move pretty quietly.   He got a hold of Niko's Panda Bear treats on Friday night.  I didn't even know he had moved until I looked up and he had a Panda Treat hanging out of his mouth.

He is VERY determined to get eat the cat's food.  He has gotten into it several times... and has eaten at least one handful I know of....  mmmm.....

Park Time (again)

It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend here in KC, so we headed to the park.  (No big surprise here... we practically live in the park this time of year.)

Ryker-kun slept most of the time.

Behold, the Nakahodo child chariot.   We (me) have been walking to the park from our house for exercise... and what a workout it is!  We live a little over a mile from Penguin Park and the walk is very hilly.  Oh, just a mile to and from you say?  Try pushing 75 POUNDS of kid & gear up and down hill for a mile or so and you will feel the burn!
