Omaha Trip

We visited our friends in Omaha this weekend.  Niko had a really great time playing in their backyard on the Slip-n-Slides they had set up.

We had a REALLY great time with Travis & Alissa in Omaha - thanks so much for having us!  I also realized we never got a group picture.... doh.

Totoro Bedding and Nursery Update

I finally got all the clothes cleaned and put away in the dressers, the bouncy chair cleaned, the exersaucer cleaned, the baby swing cleaned, the car seat cleaned and I even found both bases.  Whew.  Glad to be done with this project!!

I made the mobile and the bedding originally for Niko, but the design is unisex.  I did that so I could use it for future babies.

Totoro bedding has been installed and the crib is ready to go!  :)

Belly Bump

Ahhhh.... the famed belly bump.  This picture was taken at Alyssa's Under the Sea Baby Shower I co-hosted with her friend Mini.  We are both expecting boys; Alyssa is due the first week of August and I am due the first week of September.

Duo Stroller

Neil and I picked up our double stroller today thanks to Craigslist.  We paid under half of retail for this lightly used stroller - sweet.  I like this one because Niko can jump in and out of the front seat while the back seat fits our infant carrier.

Neil went with me since he's scared that every Craigslist ad is some crazy wanting to cut the second baby out of me.

Swimming Pool Fun

Much to daddy's dismay on a 105 degree day, Niko loves the pool!  :)

Garage Sale Gold

I have been looking for one of these bike trailers for a while, but refuse to pay full price.  I found this Schwinn bike trailer at a garage sale recently for $30.  It holds two kids up to 100 pounds.  This trailer retails for over $150 at TRU... I happen to know that for a fact. 

It works great!  All we needed to do was buy the part that hooks up to the bike ($8) and air up the tires.  Sweet.

Mark Action Figure

This is a Sulu action figure from the newest Star Trek movie.  The figure's likeness is John Cho, a Korean-American actor playing Hikaru Sulu, a Japanese character.  

So, why do I bring this up?  Well, Niko thinks it's a Mark action figure.  At least he's got the right nationality!  I gave this doll to Niko a while back, but he recently discovered it under a mountain of other action figures.  He handed it to Neil and said, "I found Mark!"

Here is Niko with his hero Mark and his Mark action figure.  Look how happy he was to have them both in the same place at the same time.  Good times!
