See this sad, empty wall? I have been staring at it for over a year or so trying to think of what to do with it. I am usually not a catalog shopper, but I found something in Bed Bath and Beyond's mailer that I just loved.
I am not crazy about the bottom "Family" photo, but I plan to replace that with the words Morris/Nakahodo since it will feature pictures from both of our families.
I like the way it fills the wall, but it's still open and airy. I also love the graphic design of the tree. Now I just need to replace the happy family photos with nerdy ones.
We went to Planet Con in Kansas City this weekend. Niko was very good... although he was in the baby backpack (aka baby prison.) This will probably the last year I do this... he is HEAVY in this thing! I would say he is only a few pounds from tipping me over.
Niko is obsessed with Spiderman right now... even this short, fat version in the photo.
Godfather Mark decided to give the backpack a go. He lasted about 30 minutes.
Aunt Shelly was not a fan of my rendition of the Spiderman song.
Our neighbors have a professional lawn service tend to their yards so our grass always looks terrible since we are in the middle. Their lawns look fantastic so I decided that I was going to start on the front lawn when we got home tonight.
Niko "helped" me rake the lawn.
And by "helping," I mean jumping in the piles I raked up. Doh.
If you have never been to the Museum of Science + Industry in Chicago, you should go. Kids have a BLAST since most of the areas are interactive. This is the hatchery where eggs are hatched every day.
Yes, those are real planes inside the museum.
This is one of the coolest areas in the museum. They simulate a tornado inside the museum... so cool.
Niko had fun hanging out with his cousin Jenny.
He LOVED the train area. If you have kids who like trains... this museum is right up your alley.
The museum wore mommy out... Niko was running around like a crazy person and passed out in the car before we got off Lake Shore Drive. Whew... I think mommy needs a vacation after this vacation!
Matrix walked into the kitchen looking like this. It's kinda hard to see because he's so dark and the headband is black as well. Niko decided that one set of cat ears was not enough for Matrix, he needed two.
I must say, I laughed pretty hard. Poor Matrix. Niko toddler-handles you!
Ahhh.... look at my little nerdling. He's just getting into Spiderman and he likes it when I sing the Spiderman song to him. His first graphic novel (of sorts), Marvel Universe, I am so proud.
