Two weekends ago Niko went to his first Con. It's a magical time in a boys life - first anime con. I should have made him a costume, but my sewing machine is packed up for our move. He was able to see grown men and women dressed up like Halloween - only no one but nerds know what they are.

New kitchen! Sort of...
I should have taken this photo before the demolition started. This is our old, dark, dated kitchen.
Here is my dad, Neil's dad, Neil and Mark installing the new counter top.
Counter tops are in and the floor is freshly grouted.

Thanks to everyone who helped!!! (Thanks for spending ANOTHER work-filled weekend in KC dad!)

6 month photos
Family photo
My new Mom 2 Mom blog photo
Niko is fortunate enough to have a GREAT network of "Aunts and Uncles" in Kansas City. This is one of my favorite photos ever. This is our KC family!
Niko with his Godfather, Mark.
Niko was getting pretty grumpy at this point. Aunt Alyssa got a smile out of him...
Aunt Shelly did not.
So we tried one together and Niko looks like a little budda.

So gross
Yea... that's what you think it is. It's sweet potatoes... after processing.
I woke up this morning to Niko talking in his crib - nothing special. I walked in and smelled poopie - once again not uncommon. Then I saw a stain on his bed. I honestly thought he had spit up in the night since it was an orange color. Then I rolled him over and saw the devastation that was his nightgown and bed.
Nasty. Motherhood is very... moist.
