Here we SNOW again!

Welcome to Snowmageddon #2.  We have officially received over 20"+ inches of snow and more is still falling.  Ugh.  Please stop.

Our heroes!!!  I ran out and gave the plow truck driver a bag of snacks for plowing us out.  We live in KC, but that is a Gladstone truck.  What great neighbors!

This is probably the most representational photo of my family to date.  I was taking a photo of Ryker and Niko photobombed it.  :)  Yup....  Niko is my LOOK AT ME child.  I wonder where he gets that from......

Niko-chan.

Ryker-kun.

We broke out the walker for Ryker yesterday as we were lampooned indoors all day.  Ryker isn't long enough to actually touch the ground yet, but he did like being pushed around the kitchen by Niko.  It was a bit terrifying to watch though....

Frank the Snowman

Here is Niko with his first snowman, Frank.

It was really cute to see him with his snowman.  He kept giving him hugs and asked if Frank could come inside.

 Adjusting the nose.

This was Niko giving Frank 'real arms.'

 More Mt. Cul climbing.

Mommy and Niko.  :)

Real Food!

 Ohhhhh.... sweet potatoes!

Give me that spoon!

Nom... nom... nom!  We started Ryker on solid foods this weekend!  :)  We have been giving him cereal in his bottles, but this was his first food session.  He LOVED it!!!  It was pretty funny.... he was grabbing the spoon and shoveling it in!

Mt. Cul

I arrived home from work on Friday to this glorious sight.  The City of Gladstone plowed our cul-de-sac for us.  We are KC residents, but Gladstone plowed us out to be 'good neighbors.'  I know this for a fact; I'm friends with their PIO and their City Manager is a great guy.

The pile the snowplows left in our cul-de-sac was massive and Niko could not wait to scale Mt. Cul.

Almost there...

I did it!!!!
And now his favorite part.... sliding down the mountain.

Thundersnow!!!

The hammock did not make the storm....  Actually, it had been damaged from a previous storm and we just haven't gotten around the backyard to get it down yet.  This photo was taken during the beginning of the storm.  We actually had THUNDERSNOW!

The snow was coming down at 2" an hour at this point!

Meanwhile, we were hanging out in the living room... ahhhhh....  we watched every single Avengers movie in order throughout the day.  Pizza, popcorn and then pot roast.  Yea.....

This is the first time we were able to use the snowblower that Neil's folks gave us years ago.  It was a life-saver!  Our neighbor used his snowblower and did most of the street leading into the cul-de-sac.  Our snowblower gave out after the first two hours.... hopefully we didn't kill it off!  We were able to get our driveway, our neighbor's driveway and most of the street before it quit.

We received 11" in 6 hours.  Whew....

For Grandpa

Here is Ryker in the outfit that Grandpa bought for him.  Go Fighting Illini!

Ryker flips over the second you put him down now.  We really have to watch out now that he is getting mobile.  I put him down for a second to use the restroom and I found him under the jumper.  Very quick!

The Godparents

Shelly with Ryker-kun.

Niko loves it when Mark wrestles around with him.  Here they are tagging each other with towels.

Ryker was laughing pretty hard at this.

Look at that face!

Then Mark had Ryker chasing Niko around the house.

Now it's time for the costumes.

I almost died of laughter when Mark put this Mardi Gras mask on Ryker.

Too funny.  When we took the mask off Ryker he squealed with laughter.

Niko likes it when Mark wraps him up like a burrito, then makes him squirm out.

Here he is whining to get out.....

And he gives up.
